This thing is a piece of stiff wire with cardboardy paper bits on the end. My cats sniffed and batted a few times. They occasionally chew on the paper part. Save your money.

Your mileage may differ, but my cat was completely uninterested in the Cat Dancer. She literally would not even look at it.
I think this would be best for very young kittens who will bat at anything that moves.

This is a simple idea that the cats love – I’m just not entirely comfortable waving around a piece of metal.

In my experience, cats get bored with toys quick, especially after their first year or two of life, but remarkably ours still loves the Cat Dancer toy. It’s a remarkably simple thing, and at first I was concerned our cat would break off the wound cardboard bits but it’s held up well and she still enjoys batting at it like as if it were a moth. Would definitelyr recommend it.
